Ross Skolnick, a graduate of Baylor Law School, has devoted his practice exclusively since 1993 in the practice areas summarized below.

Ross A. Skolnick was born in Anniston, Alabama, on February 22, 1947. He was admitted to the Texas bar in 1975 after receiving his Texas Preparatory education at the University of Texas at Arlington (Pre-law, 1972) and his legal education at Baylor University (J.D., 1975). Mr. Skolnick was the Chairman of the State Bar Unauthorized Practice of Law committee, District 2A, in 1999. He is a member of Gregg County Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, and an admitted attorney of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Mr. Skolnick also served on the Gregg County Bar Board of Directors from 1999 through 2005. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas Sections of Business Law, Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law.

Ashley was born and raised in Longview, Texas. She received her BA in Economics from the University of Texas in 2005. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2010. Ashley began assisting Mr. Skolnick in August 2013.

Denise Willard - Bookkeeper

Denise handles all bookkeeping duties, including billing, receivables, and payroll. She is proficient with Quickbooks billing software. Denise opens and maintains files, and more. Denise ensures the smooth operation of the office. She provides direct support to Mr. Skolnick in administrative matters, including client relations and scheduling of appointments.

Kayra Hatcher - Legal Assistant

Kayra has over 26 years of experience in the legal field and has worked for Mr. Skolnick since 2011. She assists clients in the areas of entity and business planning, estate planning, real estate, and life insurance trusts. She helps prepare entity documents (including corporation, limited liability company, and limited partnership formation documents), estate planning documents (including wills, codicils, trusts, financial powers of attorney, and living wills), and real estate documents (including conveyance documents, leases, purchase agreements, and closing documents).

Phyllis Skolnick - Legal Secretary

Phyllis was a Senior Chemical Production Planner at Eastman Chemical Company, retiring after 37 years of employment. She has been contributing to the success of her husband’s law firm since 2011. Phyllis works closely with clients in the preparation of a company’s annual meeting minutes, documenting major financial transactions, high or unusual expenses, buying or selling stock/membership interests, and other transactions that demand documentation. She prepares stock/membership interests certificates and maintains the entity books for numerous companies.
